Aloestrela suzannae

Overview

Aloestrela suzannae is an accepted species endemic to southern Madagascar and grows as a large succulent shrub or tree. [1]

Leaves

Leaves form a dense rosette, are lanceolate-attenuate, dull green, very rough and arch upwards. [2]

Leaf surface and margin

Leaf margins bear pungent pale-brown teeth. [2]

Inflorescence and flowers

The inflorescence is simple with a cylindrical, densely flowered raceme; flowers are pale ivory with a pale rose tinge, and the stamens and style are lemon yellow. [2]

Distribution

Native to southern Madagascar. [1]
